Learning external ear anatomy diagram
The external ear anatomy consists of pinna, outer ear canal and tymphany membrane. Pinna is the very outer part of our ear. This part is visible. The function of this part is to collect sound or voice. After the sound from the surrounding is collected, it is directed to the outer ear canal. Without pinna, we won’t be able to hear sound because it is what collects all the sound that sounds from the surrounding.
The outer ear canal helps the sound travel through. It is directed to the tymphany membrane. The outer ear canal length is about 2.5 centimeters. This canal has a sebaceae gland. This is a kind of oily substance and this is what produces ear dung. The outer canal is connected to the eardrum. So, when sound has been collected it is traveled to the eardrum directly. But before the sound arrives at the eardrum, it passes through tymphany membrane.
It is suggested that we often clean up our ear. Ear dung can obstruct our hearing system. It is also not good for our health. We have to clean our ear as often as possible. In addition, we can find clinics offering ear treatment. They usually give us some treatments to get the ear dung out of our ear.
Thus, our ear can hear clearly. However, if we want to go to an ear treatment clinic, we have to be careful with the treatment given. Otherwise, if we do not be careful with that, they may give us wrong treatment. And the consequence can be so worse. External ear anatomy diagram is actually a simple anatomy diagram, but we have to keep it healthy so it won’t disturb our hearing system.
